Kerem Shuval, PhD, MPH

Dr. Shuval's current research focuses on evaluating the impact of a community based violence prevention program designed to change urban youths' violence perceptions and behaviors. He is also developing a web-based tool designed to facilitate primary care physicians' ability to provide dietary and physical activitiy counseling efficiently. Preliminary evaluation of this tool is being conducted in an HMO setting.

Dr. Shuval has a PhD from the Haifa University School of Public Health, an MPH from the Hebrew University School of Public Health, and a BED in physical education and sports science from the Wingate Institute, Netanya, Israel. His research interests include: lifestyle modification, violence prevention, health disparities, community-based research, evidence-based medicine, and medical education.
